fivequestionfriday.

1. If you could be a fly on any wall, which would you choose?
The White House. I want to know if all the secrets about the US government is true.

2. Do you budget your Christmas shopping or just get it done without budgeting?
I sorta budget. I have a roundabout figure in my mind per person and usually stay within the lines. Make sense?

3. What is the craziest fad diet you have ever done?
I haven't really done any fad diets. I tried South Beach with Mom once. I really do my best to eat healthy and stay active.

4. Is there a TV show that you have seen every episode/season of?
Friends. Gilmore Girls.

5. What one song always pulls at your heart?
Eye of the Sparrow. It was sung at my grandma's funeral. I can't hear it now without crying. I miss her.

Sometimes I gotta "feel" it.

Ya know those days when you don't "feel" like wearing the outfit you've picked out? Or something's just not right with your hair? Or "insert-situation-where-you-can't-put-your-finger-on -what's-wrong?"

That's what happened with me and these burlap canvases. They just didn't "feel" right with the things I wanted to do with them. So I put them to the side.

Until tonight.

I saw Funky Junk Donna's picture frame post, and a light bulb went off.

I know what to do with those canvases!

Make them into picture frames! I wrapped jute around the canvases and placed a picture inside. These are engagement pics that have been unframed since we got them. {Yes, we celebrated three years in August.}

On the wall in our newly decorated guest bathroom. Reveal coming soon!

Dryer Hose = Pumpkin

I'm a practical girl.

I like giving gifts that have a purpose. I like turning everyday items into something unique.

For example, crafting a dryer hose into a pumpkin. Yes, you read that right!

I first saw the craft at House of Hepworths. {Click the link for a tutorial.} I was blown away at how an everyday, boring item could be turned into something cute. And that smells good! I didn't think I'd follow through with it because, as Allison pointed out, dryer hoses aren't cheap.

BUT.

I saw a used dryer hose in our utility room. It must be a sign! I hit Hobby Lobby to buy the rest of the supplies. And TADA! My pumpkins. I was able to eek out two pumpkins with the hose. Thank you, Jared, for never throwing anything away. ;)

The bigger pumpkin sitting in the bathroom.

The smaller pumpkin sitting on our TV stand.

FiveQuestionFriday

1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Candy Corn, but only in small doses. It's so rich when I eat and eat and eat it.

2. Do you fold your socks?
I pair them up and roll them into each other. {Does that make sense?}

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
Don't rush things in life. You have your entire life to live and do and be. There's no need to be in a hurry. Slow down and enjoy each season. Smell the roses, if you will. :)

4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
He jumps to conclusions, while I tend to stop and ponder before I draw a conclusion. But I guess with Jared being a popo, it's his job to observe and conclude.

5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? (And, just for fun...if your significant other is around, ask him/her what 3 words they would use to describe you!!)

I say:
1. Encouraging
2. Forgetful
3. Willing to improve

Jared says:
1. H-O-T-T HOT {He says this after saying, "Hot….headed!" And then I gave him the look and he took it back. :) }
2. Supportive
3. Accepting
