Hello...
I'm still alive. Lurking and reading other blogs via Feedly since Google Reader is no more. (Rest in peace, dear friend.)
I've started the 7th week at my new job. I'm loving it!! Fast paced some days and slower than a glacier on others. I never know what I may be asked to do. It keeps the job from becoming mundane.
Happy Wednesday!! :)

Let's get serious...
...about being healthy! I ate half a bowl {a large mixing bowl, not a rinky dink cereal bowl} of cookie dough yesterday.
This is actually an awesome cookie cake I made a few months ago, not the half eaten bowl of cookie dough. But, you get the picture. ;)
Then I started and completed Day 1 of Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred.
Oh, lawdy. What was I thinking?!
I'm thinking that I'm ready to fit in real clothes again. I'm ready to quit sportin' oversized t-shirts and still-too-tight jeans. I'm ready to become healthy!
Before I got prego with Adub, I lost about 22 pounds by consistently working out and turning my eating habits towards veggies and fruit and then meat and starches.
So let's fire up the healthy train and kick this pig.

Seven Months and we're still alive
Y'all.
It's been awhile. To catch life up in a few sentences, Jared and I had Anna Wesley December 3rd. She's now almost SEVEN MONTHS OLD. *cue the tears* I'm staying at home with her which has taken some getting used to. I could do an entire post on just that!
Being a mother is absolutely amazing and terrifying.
Amazing:
-creating another human being: I'm still blown away at how God creates us in our mother's womb.
-teaching her new things: She's *almost* crawling. She does the jungle crawl (pulling her body with her arms). With this crawl she could join the Army next week.
-watching her enjoy the world she's in: any time we go to a new place, she's so observant, taking in every detail. I love it.
Terrifying:
-taking care of another human being that can't talk to tell you what they want or need: Figuring out AW's cries didn't take as long as I thought it would. When you spend 24/7 with someone, you figure them out quickly.
-being responsible for someone else's every. single. need. under the sun: Again, I'm just astonished at this. Jared and I've taken care of a wee little one for almost seven months, and we're still alive to tell the tale. ;)

Anna Wesley's Birth Story: Part One
I was due November 30th. The entire pregnancy I thought Baby Pierce, affectionately called PIP {Pierce in Progress} by many friends, would make his or her debut during Thanksgiving week.
Thanksgiving came and went and no baby. No biggie! My last day of work was the Friday after Thanksgiving; let the vacation begin!
During the last week of the pregnancy, we slept in, went on our last two date nights as a family of 2, nested, watched lots of football, and enjoyed doing nothing. It. Was. Fabulous. It was the first time Jared and I was on the same schedule in five years of marriage!
We had our 40th week doctor appointment on November 27th. My prayer was for a little bit of progression. I was 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. WOOHOO!! Progress! We set a date to be induced just in case Baby Pierce needed a push to get moving. We chose Monday, December 3rd because our doctor was on call 7a to 7a, and we thought a birthday of 12-3-12 would be pretty cool.
November 30th comes and goes. And so does December 1st and 2nd.
On Sunday, December 2nd, Jared and I finished last minute packing before the big day. My mom and sister, Marianna, come to town to be there Monday morning. For dinner, we ate at Tabella, my favorite Italian restaurant. I loaded up on the carbs since my next meal could easily be 24 hours away. I slept for only about 4 hours that night although it felt like I slept zilch hours. But I know I must have at some point even through someone's snoring (JDub! ;)
Our alarm went off at 4am. I took my last shower as a pregnant lady, did my makeup, and straightened my hair. Who knew when the next time that could happen! Mom was awake to see us off to the hospital. We took pics as instructed by Jme to put in the photo album she made for Baby Pierce.

Thanksgiving table with football in the background. Remember who I'm married to? Mr. Football!
My paternal grandmother's china and silver. I love magnolias!
The last Thanksgiving dinner as a Coffey Pierce Family of 6. Yes, that's our Christmas tree up at Thanksgiving. I'll be too prego to do it later!
